How do we know?


Because the tomb was empty!


Three days after Jesus died on the cross, He rose from the dead. The Romans put guards on his tomb, and three days later, that tomb was empty!

Jesus is alive!

The early Christians were willing to die horrible deaths to tell us that.

Bad people wanted to put a stop to all this "Jesus is alive!" talk. So they arrested followers of Jesus. They told them that either they admit they were making the whole thing up or they would torture and kill them.

Now, if they KNEW that they were just making the whole thing up, it would have been an easy thing to just admit it and go free. But they couldn't do that - because they knew they weren't lying. They had seen Jesus with their own eyes - and they were willing to die for it.

Now, lots of people are willing to die for something they believe to be true. But who would be willing to die for something they KNEW wasn't true??!

They knew the tomb really was empty. They knew Jesus wasn't still there. They knew Jesus was alive. They were willing to die so we could know it too - so, Believe it!
