I have absolutely nothing to say!

These things happen!

What I really need is a nap!

Or maybe a trip out to the park to scope out the wildflowers. I was there a couple of days ago. It was sort of a gray day, and I really didn’t think I was going to get any good pictures. Usually I come home, download the pictures from our (relatively) cheap digital camera (a Nikon Coolpix 2500 for those of you who might be interested), and there is at least one good picture. Occasionally I even say, “WOW!”

But I thought this was going to be the first time I was going to get skunked.

Still, I had driven all the way out there (yeah, all three miles), I might as well take a few pictures anyway. I was happy to see I hadn’t missed much. I was afraid some of my favorite wildflowers might have already come and gone. Wildflowers aren’t much for lingering. But the path through the woods was still mostly brown, and the early spring flowers were still in bloom, poking up through the piles of dry leaves. There was a riot of Dutchman’s Britches. So I half-heartedly took a few pictures and went home.

Amazingly, there were a couple of good ones!

Not that the picture at the top of the page is one of them. That’s Blackie, in his usual post, waiting to go ballistic at the sight of the mailman. That dog is amazing. He can tell the mailman’s truck a block away - by the sound! And when the mailman walks up the front steps, Blackie just about busts through the door.

Anyway, just so you know I am not sitting around here, downloading iTunes and reading old magazines, I did put together a nice little version of Psalm 103, which really is beautiful Psalm...
